Paying for a new roof in Colorado Springs

How payment works on repairs and replacements, how insurance money fits in, and the financing options available.

Repairs

Most repairs are paid on completion by card, check or bank transfer. The price is agreed on the roof before work starts, so the invoice holds no surprises.

Replacements

Replacements are priced on an itemized written estimate. Depending on materials, a deposit may be needed when shingles or metal panels are ordered; the estimate says how much and when. The balance is due when the job is finished and has passed its PPRBD inspection.

When insurance is paying

  1. Your carrier usually sends a first payment after the adjuster's estimate is approved.
  2. The work is completed and invoiced.
  3. Any held-back amount is released by the carrier once the invoice is submitted.
  4. You pay your deductible, which is never waived or absorbed.

If your mortgage company is named on the insurance check, it may need to endorse it. We can explain what paperwork they usually ask for.

Financing

Financing for roof replacements is available through third-party lenders, subject to their approval and terms. Ask when you get your estimate and we will explain the options. We do not offer financing ourselves and do not set the rates.

Ways to keep the cost down

  • Fix small problems early; a pipe boot is cheap, a rotted deck is not.
  • Do gutters at the same time as a reroof to save on setup.
  • Compare standard and Class 4 shingles over the life of the roof, not just the day it is installed.

Planning numbers are on the replacement cost page.
